Cutting the cost of research

Posted by Martin Rigby on June 11, 2007 10:00 AM |

Following my recommendation in the Liverpool ECHO Origins series and this blog regarding useful websites, one reader wrote about the high cost of purchasing certificates – especially for pensioners.

Mr O’Brien from Bootle pointed out that sometimes it was necessary to purchase a few certificates before you could identify your correct family link.

He has now taken an excellent initiative and has had accepted a petition for lower charges on the prime minister’s website.

If you want to back the campaign for lower certificate charges, please log on to:http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/easyaccessbmd/?ref=easyaccessBMD
This is a great initaitive so please sign the petition on the website.
